William "Elmo" Redding, 77, of Wauchula, passed away on Saturday, January 27, 2018 at home. Elmo was born in Wauchula, Florida, on February 8, 1940. He was a lifelong resident of Hardee County. Elmo was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church. He proudly served his country for twenty-two and a half years in the United States Army. He also worked in the citrus and cattle industry.
He is preceded in death by his parents Robert Wesley Redding Jr. and Fannie Elizabeth Marshall Redding and his sister Gail Elizabeth Redding Deuberry. He is survived by his loving wife Annie McClelland Redding of Wauchula, Fl., Sons Timmy Redding (Marsha Albritton) of Bowling Green, Fl., Merle Lee Redding (Susan Gayle Stockenberg) of Wauchula, Fl., Daughters Tammy Redding Spain (Donald) of Wauchula, Fl., Lara Redding Freeman (Richard) of Wauchula, Fl., Brothers Bobby Joe Redding (Irene Keen) Soperton, Ga., Ronnie Lee "Frog" Redding (Karen) of Lakeland, Fl., Robert Wesley "Buck" III (Nancy Lynn) of Wauchula, Fl., Sisters Jeanette Redding Gibson (Jerry) of Bartow, Fl., Grandchildren Daphne Redding Hays (Jason), Megan Redding, W.T. Redding II, Hannah Dickerson Rosenburg (George), William Allan Dickerson, Michele Redding Dick (Travis), Sandra Dee Redding Braxton (Kyle), Kaleb Christian Bryant, William Dalton Bryant, Great Grandchildren Emma Hays, Jacob Hays, Sawyer Wright, Ransom Dick, Tristan Dick, Rocco Braxton, Rory Kate Braxton, Lillian Rosenburg, and Camden Dickerson.
A visitation Will be held Wednesday January 31, 2018 6:00-8:00 In Robarts Garden Chapel. Funeral Services will be Thursday February 1, 2018 11:00am In Robarts Garden Chapel Interment will be at Friendship Cemetery Mr. Jason Hays will be officiating services.
